Agree. I will say though that out here in the boonies, Midwest redneck farmers and their helpers and neighbors are indeed still men. And we are well armed. Even us little old ladies. Many did not, no. Here the schools were not shut down, a couple churches did for a short time, no, only those that wished to wear masks wore them. We have a constitutional sheriff here, and much of our state does but not all to be sure. Since the sheriff is the highest elected LE official he carries more weight . He absolutely said he will not enforce any mandates because they are unconstitutional. I would suggest people move, if possible, to such a county and state, educate the sheriff they do have, or elect a new one asap. The sheriff stands between us and all of the rest of the evildoers. That said, you are correct in that many/most will not resist and without a doubt there will be as many more times as it takes. The farmers and neighbors in this area are not used to being told what they have to do and don't take it too kindly. We are also very well armed, everyone for the most part. Of course that does little good against some of the forms of weaponry they use now, but they try to take the farm ground in other ways, and that's increasing, too, albeit slyly.

I, too, would get chicks if you can find a very reputable hatchery. The chicks that my hens hatch themselves are much healthier, robust, and seemed to grow faster on the same amount of feed as hatchery chicks, but you have to start somewhere. You'll have more feed costs getting chicks and a longer wait for eggs, but I prefer that to hens. If you get more eggs than you can possibly use or sell, I've found dehydrating is an excellent way to keep them for years. And they're tasty still, too. So far I've dehydrated 2,251 eggs since my current flock started laying this past September.

I'm never too sure when it comes to fires like this. I work in utilities and right-of-way maintenance is always an issue. I have a hard time believing that a primary hitting a neutral would have caused such a rapid and intense fire. There were reports of a bright flash but no reports of an initial explosive sound. Heh you watch a hot primary hit a neutral and you won't forget the sound or feel anytime soon.

Here in Victoria, Australia, the state government has, despite recommendations from an official inquiry, slashed funding to firefighting resources. I think it is true that high winds, downed power lines, and an accumulation of invasive grass dried and dead, and up to 10 feet tall combined to create the conflagration. However, the "officials" were well aware of that potential, and did nothing about it.

The power company was out in force, not just trying to clear roads of live lines, but also had their big lift trucks in place trying to set new power poles--blocking the only roads from the interior to the beach area. This during the fire storm. Also, there had been a lot of re-zoning. Reports are that insurance companies are using this to not honor property policies, but are instead offering to buy the properties--again at highly discounted prices. Essentially take what we offer, or get nothing.---much the same happened to property owners in the areas of cities that antifa burned during the summer of 2020-- they apparently had maps showing what had been re-zoned for build back better areas.
Also , Sonar21--Larry Johnson, reports that reliable sources he has are reporting that more than 5000 are missing, and the death count is over 1500--numbers only a fraction of those reported "officially".
