My half baked theory is Gates/Soros to discredit Dominion (which they have a hand in) election tampering accusation, was to offer Fox a backdoor payment equaling the fine they had to pay. So it's a financial wash while at the same time quashing the truth about Dominion election tampering. Fox and it's hosts may suffer a near fatal setback, but in sum, opted to take the sleazy deal rather than bear the expense of a lengthy trial in a thoroughly corrupt judicial/jury system .
