My daughter just returned from a vacation trip with my future son-in-law and they had visited Haystack Rock. She sent pictures when she was there and it looked beautiful. She is from the midwest and loves the mountains. She told me the worst part of their trip was when they visited a friend in Portland. I believe her words were "That it sucked" and she mentioned the filth and drug addicts. I think as she is getting older she is starting to realize what happens when the 'snowflakes" you mentioned in your previous article start to take over.
