I believe this is one of the major reasons men are commiting suicide at such high rates today. I used to blame only radical, misandrist feminist. However, as time goes by I've come to the conclusion that men, particularly men in leadership, were/are more interested in pandering to women in order to get votes, were apathetic or cowards.
I acknowledge that as with the race issue today, many men self-censure because the price to pay for speaking out is too high. I can understand that. I fear that we have a steep up-hill battle to make positive changes for men's equality. Sadly, if the issue involves beer or a sports team, men are suddenly outspoken and energized.
Yes too many decades of pandering to political correctness instead of standing by truth. Self debasing self emasculating behavior by men is more toxic than any masculinity.
