Lots of provocative questions there, GC. I have to echo LaMaisonGelat's comment about the ancient stone work. I am a geologist by education and a stoneworker by profession--40 years of masonry, architectural carving and even a bit of sculpture. I have looked at pictures of the Inca work in Cuzco and Machu Picchu and in other areas of the ancient world, and know how difficult such precision is even with modern pneumatic tools. I also read the "pseudo - archaeology" which often makes more sense than some of the more classical explanations. There are more questions than answers for those interested.
