I feel like I'm stuck in a never-ending $#!% show, on repeat, full of helicopter-parented, whiny brats (masquerading as 30-40 something professionals in places of power), who can't cope with criticism so they metaphorically put their hands over their ears and sing "Nahnnnnahhhh, I cant hear you!".
THEN the very individuals, that have a clue, and are doing some actual good, suddenly decide their ego's arent getting stroked enough and decide to throw down over whether Father Christmas or the Easter Bunny is real!
I mean WTAF!! Who cares when the impact of these shots are killing so many people that the actual life expectancy of a child born today has dropped 12 years! From 80 to 68yrs. 🤦♀️😑
Feeling quite inadequate to reply here, but will dip a toe into the muddied waters and add a wee thought. While this current discourse is necessary (and admittedly most compelling whilst cozied in the barcalounger), what can be obscured in the give and take is the terrifying playing out all around us of the ever-creeping paradigm shift in global and national governance. Covid is a large part of that thick muck in the waters, along with the crisis du jour.
As I watched Biden’s Sept 1 speech, the many speeches of my infuriating PM, as well as those of Macron, it struck me that while we may lash out in general and state we are dealing with evil, in ‘struth, we may be (or likely are) dealing with full-out demonic possession. Evil demands chaos from what is orderly, and we are observing the many-pronged strategic attacks against order all around us. Those who have ferreted out the evil narrative feel increasingly helpless as we experience these attacks repeatedly popping up about us. We are exhausted (as we are supposed to be by now).
Since many recognize pure evil, and some sense demonic possession, we must realio, trulio accept this is a spiritual battle like none before. God permits evil, but for a purpose: to awaken us. To what? We, like the Israelites of the Old Testament, have been given much (they, the Old Covenant; we the New Covenant), and yet, we turn away. What must we do? We must learn what God expects of us; we must recognize our sins (collective and personal), and turn away from them. Repent and turn to God, as the old time preachers called us to do (where, pray tell, when most needed, are our fiery new time preachers?). The big start, the necessary first step, is to turn away from fornication, adultery, abortion, euthanasia, pornography, lies and deception.
We ask God to bless our nations and keep them glorious and free, and then we spit in his eye. We expect blessings, while offending the God who gave us life, liberty, and everything around us. We must examine our consciences, get right with God, beg his grace, assistance and power - and expect miracles.
