If abortions had been legal in 50s I wouldn't be here. Some women are not meant to be mothers & should not be forced into it. My sisters & I were criminally & mentally abused growing up by both parents. The extended family told themselves & others "well, it's different when it's your own kids" & they were right. My eldest sister remembered as a toddler being picked by her hair & "bounced off walls." My mother wasn't stupid enough to do that to someone else's kid.
I am a child of God. He intervened in the abortion, also stopped my sister from drowning me when I was 1, & stopped my father from killing me in a ptsd episode when I was 5. When I was 14 & locked out in the street when they went away for weekends, he helped me find a way in. Saved me from septicemia gone septic tgat Har VC ard Health dr dismissed as all in my head. Saved me in 3 accidents when I should have been killed, & protected me from 3 dog attacks, the 3rd a pack of pit bulls.
He didn't give me a husband or children, though. In hindsight, I am grateful for that.
I can relate. I should have been dead decades ago. My latest escape was 17 months ago when a lunatic held a pistol inches from my face and threatened to blow my brains out, at a bird refuge (Sauvie Island). My guardian angel works overtime.
