It is a dark path indeed. I'm with you on the cash thing. I'm using it whenever possible. I was really excited last week when a cashier said to me "I hope I have change for you. Everyone's using cash lately." I feel so entrenched in all of this stuff that it's hard to really know what the uninitiated do, think, and see.
