I have heard that some did not want their picture taken (I can sympathize) feeling superstitiously that their soul or essence would be stolen. (What backwards rubbish…)
The first movie to realize mass viewing in the US: ‘The Birth of a Nation’ which if I were to extol, I might find myself in a deep cell somewhere near the District of Columbia.
What if: all people were to beat their metaphorical swords into PR imagery.
Raytheon, Grumman, etc could still make their toys that go fast and bang loud; (I often judge a movie on its explosions.)
Russian movies rival their literature;
Germans are masters; British spy the best; Japanese martial arts or the erstwhile monster mashes; Outback really good dialogue; Chinese CGI extraordinary. And all the rest I don’t have time/space to mention, I want to say thank you for your genius and support. The World Oscar is the dream of a lifetime. Couldn’t have done it without y’all.
Special shout-out to my main man Alex Baldwin, who did not pull the trigger.
