While I completely agree with that, unfortunately my wife and family haven't figured all of this out yet, as much as I try to awaken them. They still think I am over the top, but they do seem to be coming around as everything gets more insane.

Free minded 'awake' people offer the masses no solutions (services) or leadership or even guidance. Instead they expect the masses to awaken to their level of consciousness, which is never going to happen.

There is never going to be a 'mass awakening'. The masses will always seek leaders (service providers) ... and if no honest, decent leaders step forward with solutions and services for the masses, then they will settle for technocratic rulers instead.
We all think freedom means everyone is equally enlightened. But what if freedom actually means decent, moral people having to put aside their notions of 'independence' and effectively 'govern' the masses (manage the livestock, as it were), just to stop the psychopaths stepping in and ruling them instead?

I repeat, the time for "leading" is over. We are now down to the wire, and basic survival must come first. Nobody is going to change what is coming. Its too late.
My only consolation for pounding my head against a brick wall for 30 years is, a few people did thank me. My sister-in-law said: "Thank you for never giving up on us. You saved our lives. If you had not kept harping on us for so many years, we would have taken the shot". I think this is a lot like parenting. On the one hand children have to grow up on their own. They have to be free to fail and make bad decisions so they can learn and grow. You can't do the growing up/ maturing for them..... but on the flip side, you have to try and stop them making catastrophic (or fatal) mistakes that can't be undone.
I think the art of 'parenting the sheeple' (which is what we are all trying to do I suppose) is to hide 9/10ths of the parenting instinct (interfering) and let the remaining 1/10th casually guide the sheeple, with lots of humour and imagination so they don't get too defensive and up tight.
The last 3 years has taught me that most people only care about conforming to the social hierarchy (the tribe) and avoiding social ostracism. There is safety in numbers. IRL. Relocation should be for neighbors you can depend on more than who the state governor may be. We have learned who we can count on and need to remember those people in the days ahead.

I thank the Heavens that I already died from covid 19 (the regular version from 2020). I don't have to worry about variant number 17,873. I burned all my masks trying to keep warm during the winter of 2021. Sorry, CDC and DC Swamp, my spirit does not and never will comply with your bullshyt.
First and foremost I expect a few more non-maskers in the grocery stores. I was usually “the one” at the store, never intimidated or cowered. Many women eventually joined me when they saw it was safe. But the men of this country…. Pathetic.

I was paying $850 at the time for a one bedroom, in a dumpster building near Portland, with paper mache walls out of the movie Office Space. After I saw his situation, and went back to mine (and all the hell happening at the time-WMD, torture, etc) I knew I'd probably never go back.

I’m outside of Santiago 30 minutes north with still a lot of farms around me which is a savior for food. My chickens do a lot of good supplying eggs but I’m still dependent on many things out of my control. The lockdowns killed a lot of small businesses in the city but many were saved here. But another hard lockdown will have devastating effects.
People here either haven’t heard of 15 minute cities or live in the better parts of the city and don’t care.
If it wasn’t so cold for an old man I would consider moving to Russia. I lived and worked there for 6 years and found it the best place to work
I'm on the same page as you B. I lived in Panama before the scamdemic, and already knew then it would not be a good place to be in such a situation that I knew was coming.
I was right about that when I saw how badly Panama and most other Latin American countries locked down much worse than in the US, since I was much better off here than there. Since my wife is Panamanian I could easily get dual citizenship there, but it may not matter now. The best way to rate any country now is how well or how badly they dealt with the lock downs and travel restrictions, and how bad their government is!
I also visited and considered Argentina, but it was way too socialistic for me, among many other problems with their government.

The small businesses where I live will not enforce masks. Nor will our sheriff.
The cops can't enforce it, legally anyway, if it's not a law. Last time they were merely edicts and recommendations. Under certain circumstances, as you realize, trips to the hospital have already been a death sentence, a profitable one for hospital/doctors/nurses alike, nonetheless.

Good point. Find something that combines both. Pretty much anywhere is less expensive than in the US. In some places outside of the US I'm looking at, you can live well on $1.2k-3k a month and live in a nice area. That is the working poor in the US.

I was paying $850 at the time for a one bedroom, in a dumpster building near Portland, with paper mache walls out of the movie Office Space. After I saw his situation, and went back to mine (and all the hell happening at the time-WMD, torture, etc) I knew I'd probably never go back.

I’m outside of Santiago 30 minutes north with still a lot of farms around me which is a savior for food. My chickens do a lot of good supplying eggs but I’m still dependent on many things out of my control. The lockdowns killed a lot of small businesses in the city but many were saved here. But another hard lockdown will have devastating effects.
People here either haven’t heard of 15 minute cities or live in the better parts of the city and don’t care.

I'm on the same page as you B. I lived in Panama before the scamdemic, and already knew then it would not be a good place to be in such a situation that I knew was coming.
I was right about that when I saw how badly Panama and most other Latin American countries locked down much worse than in the US, since I was much better off here than there. Since my wife is Panamanian I could easily get dual citizenship there, but it may not matter now. The best way to rate any country now is how well or how badly they dealt with the lock downs and travel restrictions, and how bad their government is!
I also visited and considered Argentina, but it was way too socialistic for me, among many other problems with their government.
