Sorry, my bad for the lousy bug report. It's using the substack app in iOS.
I appreciate the heads up. If it still doesn't work, let me know so I can report it because that's large share of people. This video is not getting much traction so it might be common. thx
It's still not working on my iOS (v14.7) on iPhone 7. But it works fine in the browser (Firefox/Linux).

Either it was just fixed in the video itself or my updating the Substack app to v1.1.1 fixed the sound problem. So, all sorted now.
