The Germans are not even allowed to question the history of their own country without extreme retribution being handed down to them. They weren't just beaten in WW2, entire generations of their people are still being beaten down to this day. The second type features comely female IDF soldiers making Israel safe by killing. Ironically, the "old school" Jewish kids I grew up around would fiercely scorn such cynical propaganda. Ditto the Catholic family I was raised in, where reverence for Joseph, Mary, and Jesus extended to Jews in general. Reading this and watching the devastating film at the end made me think about Slaughterhouse-Five for the first time in years - it was a big wake-up call for me in my late 20s, never having heard about Dresden, not surprisingly. I read the ‘Wikipravda’ on it just now. Who knew it was banned or attempts made to ban it in the US over the years? I certainly didn’t. Ostensibly for its ‘depraved, immoral, psychotic, vulgar and anti-Christian’ worldview but, given the cover up of Dresden, was that really the reason it caused so much outrage? Anyway, I always thought, was it any wonder Billy Pilgrim/Vonnegut disappeared into a fantasy world where nothing had real substance or meaning after witnessing and surviving the abject horror of those three days and the aftermath. In some senses, this is exactly the world most people inhabit, shielding themselves from the (horrific) truth by living in an illusion. That said, Vonnegut puts his PTSD to good use - Slaughterhouse-Five is an anti-war book, first and foremost. Finally, this is a great movie (2015) that is actually mainstream, so you can even watch it with normie friends and family. “Look Who’s Back” is a fictional look at what might happen if Adolf Hitler were to re-emerge in Berlin today. (Note it’s in German, but with English subtitles). It has a few propagandistic moments (like when an annoyed Hitler shoots a dog – the real man was a vegetarian who loved animals), but they are more comical than anything else. One of the really amazing things about the film is that some of the street scenes with people reacting to seeing Hitler were actually shot using real people in the street! It’s fascinating to see how regular people react to the man.

What we take for granted as history is usually false and the way narratives are produced, it will continue to be so. Your delve into this subject is very interesting, although I haven't had time yet to fully digest it all, but I will. Would a Covid type Nuremberg resolve anything? One would hope, but more than likely not and I too have previously called for this as well. Patton was a true warrior and no dummy. Ike didn't care for Patton's military views, so was he instrumental in getting rid of him. Ike is always noted for his farewell statement about the military industrial complex, and he would've known as he was actually already a part of it whether he knew it or not. Always been intrigued by the idea of Hitler escaping to live out his retirement in the Argentine sun, the question to dwell on if so is what does this mean? He was employed by a higher authority with an agenda which would be the the same force we see manifest in the covid operation. So difficult to cast off our obsessions with the actors on stage and see who really sets the scene. Distract, divide and subjugate.
