Lots of talk up here in the northern part of Poland where we live about the govt already has radiation pills ready to give out at school and to the general public. It must've been very smart planning on their part that they're so well prepared for dealing with nuclear fallout.

Man Alive. As if that will make a difference. After seven years off and on living in Poland it makes me sad that there are few reasonable adults in power here, and the Polish people don't call them out. Gave my notice to the landlord. All this "Winning" is just too much. Hoping the US doesn't do anything worse than it already has in the next six weeks. The psychos in DC won't hesitate to send Poland and Ukraine to a sacrificial slaughter.

I thought about bouncing as well, but then how do you know the place you choose to go is going to be any better off. As it stands we're a 4 second missile strike away from Kaliningrad. Which is the better way to go? Instant vaporization or slow death through starvation and radiation sickness?

Expand full comment

Damn good point Winston. I might opt for some cold cervezas on the Mexican pacific while the radiation sickness does its thing. Get in a few nuclear winter sunsets before the final melt.

My thinking is, if this is just another psyop to keep people fearful and afraid then it is possible they agree on one strategic small nuke as a false flag with no retaliation. That's what all the headlines are saying and they often telegraph in the media what they're planning, to lay the psychological groundwork. Let's say it's western Donbas and only 2 kilotons. The fallout would mostly hit Russia, so Putin probably wouldn't agree to that location, but since they all give zero F's about Ukraine (US, EU, UN and Russia), maybe it goes off near Kiev or Lviv. Then the fallout is mostly Poland and Ukraine, in which case the Mexican pacific will be quite nice.

Expand full comment

Yeah I think you're right about the false flag and only using a small nuke. If that happens I probably will bounce too, and maybe also to Mexico. I can't go back home to the United Socialists of America because my wife would need to be fully poisoned before they'd let her in the country. But if I did want to go to my native Texas, I suppose we could always just walk over the border these days.

None of us is safe from these lunatics. I live close to a major decision-making center in the West with some family both in Russia and Ukraine and plenty of friends and family all over Europe. I do not know of a place where any of us is totally "safe" from either first strike or retaliation or something flying over our heads. I used to think maybe some remote place in Siberia would be until Bloomberg said it's actually a great idea to launch a "preemptive strike" on some remote place in Siberia... There has been news this morning that Ukraine (read NATO) droned a nuclear defense shield somewhere inside Russia, not far from Moscow. So it's getting worse. The lunatics are actively provoking Russia

Yes deep state fingerprints on the sabotage guaranteed. The polish thing was a joke. Inviting another self immolation by licking the boots of those who will most certainly guarantee it happens is an interesting path to take. I submitted a policy paper on how Poland should be playing the U.S., EU, and Russia against each other while building up its own military to numbers that rival Russia as a guarantee of its own security because the US alone can't be trusted. The Polish professors tried not to laugh at it. "Keep buying Russian gas and triple our defense budget?" All that generational stewing doesn't appear to be very helpful or wise as they set themselves up for another sacrificial slaughter.

Considering the number of times Russia has invaded Poland, maybe they have a reason to be paranoid

Does it justify blowing up a pipeline, though? Russia suffered way-way more from Germany than anything Russia ever did to Poland, but they are not nearly as vindictive.

Did you read my post?

And considering how many times Russia has been invaded by "the West" including when it happened in the East by the US (and that's not counting Moscow invaded by Poland) with how many millions dead, Russia definitely has a reason to be paranoid at being encircled by nukes all around its perimeter. Ironically, it was actually Ukrainians who killed thousands of Poles, but why don't we blame it on Russians?

Expand full comment

Your right - maybe none of this is Russia's fault... Do think that hundreds of thousands of the best Russian troops got lost on the way back from the winter Olympics and wondered into Ukraine? That would explain why the invasion (sorry - special operation) was so unsuccessful.

Btw - I'm sure that Putin's paranoid, as he should be. We all have seen what oppressed people can do to a dictator when they lose power, and the fall is often swift and sudden.

Expand full comment

Exactly what the US was planning to do when USSR placed its nukes in Cuba - invade Cuba, and the only reason why it didn't was because USSR removed them. Contrary to US mainstream media, the current invasion was perfectly legal as it was upon the request from the Donbass republics who were tired of living under constant bombing and shelling by Kyiv. I personally know people living there who said at the time that he (Putin) should have done it sooner. Unfortunately, Kyiv treated those people like an abusive husband - beating and bullying, but not letting them leave. All they wanted was to leave in peace, but Kyiv made it impossible for them. And now we are seeing exactly what the oppressed people do to the tyrannical Kyiv regime.

Expand full comment

Of course, you are completely unaware that the missiles the Soviets were installing in Cuba 1,200 miles from the District of Corruption were removed after the US agreed to remove the already installed nuclear armed missiles in Turkey, 980 miles from Moscow? You are probably also completely unaware that the US Navy was depth charging a Soviet submarine armed with nuclear torpedoes and it was only because one of the Soviet officers did not concur with vaporizing several US Navy destroyers and opted instead to surface that a nuclear incident/possible war was averted in 1961?

Expand full comment

Of course it's all perfectly legal. How could any of us think anything else. Putin would never do anything that's not 100% according to intentional law. we all believe Putin when he says that world peace is the #1 goal of the current Russian administration.

Expand full comment

You are absolutely correct. There is a UN resolution that the Russian Federation signed onto that says a nation must intervene to prevent genocide. There is a Russian resolution that Daddy Bush agreed to that says no nukes, i.e., no NATO on Russia's borders. The Russians have not installed nukes in Mexico or Canada, but the US has ringed Russia with bases which may or may not have nuclear-armed missiles aimed at Russian cities. Ever since the USSR voluntarily dissolved and Russia stood alone surrounded by former allied republics, the CIA has worked to partition Russia into three or four states, without, of course, consulting the Russian people. Brzezinski the Pollock openly stated his plan to partition Russia saying no people "should be allowed" to possess so much land and natural resources.

As many of you know Poland's hatred of Russia goes back to Catherine the Great (1791) who established the Pale of Settlement, which encompassed eastern central Poland and kept its residents under strict confinement within the Pale. As a sidebar the Pale also included much of Ukraine. This deep seated hatred of Russia is much more deep-seated than Poland's hatred of Germany.

Therefore the speculation that Poland played the stooge for the U.S. and was given the opportunity to nail both countries by destroying the Pipeline(s) is beyond plausible.

Expand full comment

No, not peacefully. It will come down to Turkey. If things kick off between Turkey and Greece over Cyprus that would set off a series of events that puts the alliance on the edge because under NATO's nuclear sharing program Turkey has nukes. The CIA thing in 2016 probably still doesn't sit well with Erdogan and Turkey and Russia have been dancing awfully close lately. But if cyprus spills over to two NATO member states at war...one of them with nukes, what does NATO do? Then there's Serbia and Kosovo which has nato split. It's far too complicated to survive any regional or large scale conflict in its current form. It would have been nice if it was dissolved in 1991 but empires need constant expansion.

Yes, the Poles even harassed the vessel building the pipeline per an article in a Russian source back from April 2021: "Recall that in early April 2021, the situation around the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline seriously worsened. Polish warplanes flew around and over the construction site".

Funny story about screen doors I must share. My whole family was at a summer shindig sometime around the 4th of July in the 1980's at my uncle's house in Minnesota. At supper time my dad grabs a plate of food, walks through the sliding screen door, except he forgets to open it and goes right through the screen and lands in the dirt, he was drinking but we all had to laugh. So, uncle Rick and few other relatives fix the sliding screen door. Problem solved until... here comes one of my dads son's (there are four) running with a plate of food and goes through the screen door just like his dad. Flat in the dirt, busted screen door, food all over the place. He did not cry, he just said "Ouch!" There was laughter again. That son was me! "Be nice."
